We take “thin-walled” to mean 80 µm as an absolute minimum with a diameter to thickness ratio of over 250. It is here in pipe production that "the wheat is separated from the chaff". Any error in the forming process, lack of precision in the individual machine components or selection of the incorrect welding process can have expensive consequences. Multilayer composite pipes

Composite pipes for drinking water, heating, gas and compressed air installations. They are the modern alternative to conventional pipe systems made of steel or copper. Multilayer composite pipes, or composite pipes for short, are closed profiles that can consist of layers of different metallic and non-metallic materials. Multi-layer composite pipes, which are made of aluminium at their core and usually have to withstand very special requirements, are widely used.
